Capoeira Specific Training - Upper Body

This was a quick circuit I did this AM. It consisted of : Ginga with KBs, KB Reverse Wood Chops, KB SA Clean and Press, Alternating Cable Around-the-Worlds, and SB Forward Rolls.

Luke Cummo Thoracic Extension

It's common for fighters to be lacking thoracic extension and in this exercise you can see Luke fatigues during the last couple of reps with decreased range of motion into extension.

Luke Cummo CHEK Press

The CHEK Press is not just to shred your shoulders but to work your scapular stabilizers and thoracic extensors as well. A great "anti-forward head posture" exercise.

This exercise was part of a 10 exercise circuit, each one performed for 30 seconds.

Seminar at Ray Longo's this 12/8/07

This Saturday I'll be giving a seminar on Corrective Exercise and the MMA Athlete at Ray Longo's place in Garden City, NY. There'll be some talking but mostly you'll be put through a workout so you'll be learning some new exercises. Class starts at 3 PM and costs $30. Just show up; no need to reserve a spot.
